Worst service I have had with this car wash. Current manager needs to be replaced; needs social skills; does not know how to relate to customers issues.

Worst money I've ever spent! The volume they have = subpar service, at best.

BEWARE: NEGLIGENCE AND INCOMPETENCE ALERT

This review is for the windshield repair services that Mister Car Wash offers and allows on their premises. My technician's name was Kevin with Mister Auto Glass.

I will say one positive point that the communication with the insurance company was prompt and repairs were started quickly. Trouble began before Kevin even started on my car. He told the customer in line before me, "the chip MOVED, I just wanted to show you so you can take a look at it and see if it is OK".

Why tell the customer it is OK after you have messed up their windshield? What if I say "No, it is not okay?" Geez.

When it came to my car, the SAME thing happened. He called me over and said "the crack moved". He pointed that it had grew 5 inches vertically. But he did not point to the downward crack that also now extended all the way to the bottom EDGE of the windshield. He said, "it is HOT, your windshield is very HOT. The glue is much cooler, so when I put the glue in the crack, it made the crack MOVE".

What do you mean it MOVED? Do you mean the crack got WORSE because you knowingly screwed up and botch every one's windshield on a sunny hot day because you can neither improve your trade skills nor care to improve your equipment?

I happen to know a lot about acrylic UV glues and their chemical activators, require UV-A, typically centered at 365nm, to initiate the curing process. The technician could have (1) temporarily shaded the repair spot with a reflective sun shade, that costs several dollars, while other repairs were being made or (2) could have invested in a UV curing lamp and performed the operation safely in the shade. Even UV fingernail polish curers at salons that cost 20-30 dollars, emit the required wavelength for cure activation, additionally some of which are battery operated and therefore portable. Ultimately, the repairer could have simply asked for my keys, had my car waiting in the shade/awning - of which there is much of at Mister Car Wash - and driven it out into the sun when the suction was ready to be applied to the break.

I should have just bought the suction device, proper viscosity UV glue for the job, and done it myself - because now I will have to dish out the same amount to replace my windshield because it looks like a cracked iphone.

I would like to emphasize that the technician REPEATEDLY and KNOWINGLY proceeded to perform repairs in risky glue up conditions, showing NEGLIGENCE and incompetence in his trade. I would avoid at all costs unless you want you want your repair crack to get worse by 5-10 times by the time the crack "stops moving" because the technician put undue thermal stress on your windshield, WITH PRIOR KNOWLEDGE THAT THIS WOULD OCCUR.

To me, absolutely unacceptable. Having no leverage on the quality of the repair including defending myself against negligence, makes me even more dissatisfied.
