Koi Sushi & Hibachi

This is my regular Japanese/Sushi restaurant. They make really good sushi with some great seasonal rolls (Strawberry Roll or the Christmas Tree Roll are the best options). The service I have always received has been friendly and professional from waitresses, cooks, chefs and the owner. I would and do recommend eating here over other sushi restaurants in the area.

Koisushi& Hibachi is a best Japanese restaurant that I eat. Their fishes are very fresh. You can see them cut the salmon fish in every Saturday evening. Their waiters are very nice and friendly. sometimes they are slowly, but only at the busy time. Ask yourself, if a restaurant cook your food very fast, are their food good, are their busy. When they are very busy, their will give you some food on the house for late. I never see other restaurant will do that. Go to try it, I promise you will love them.

I have been to Koi several times (I like to give new places a fair shot), and each time I have been there, only one thing has been constant - bad service. The waitress staff isn't friendly and everyone there is SLOW. Even their "take out" service is slow. I called in an order and they told me it would be ready in 20 minutes. 45 minutes later, I was STILL waiting for them to "cook the eel."



The only positive thing I can say about Koi is that their menu has a lot of variety, but most sushi/Hibachi restaurants have a wide variety.



If you're looking for the kind of hibachi restaurant where they cook your food in front of you, don't go to Koi. Their grill-side table only seats 5 and it is always full.



There are much better places in the Northern Suffolk area to eat sushi. Try Nana in the Harbourview shopping area (near the new Panera Bread) or Yo Yo (near Starbucks).
