Dr. Clark opened his Sturgis practice in August of 1994. He is Board Certified with the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. His staff is very dedicated with two of his key employees being with him since the opening of his practice in 1994. Nurse Practitioner Carol Sharp joined the practice in 1998. Our office provides a wide range of gynecological and obstetric services. We perform the Thermachoice Endometrial Ablation (to relieve heavy, painful periods) and the Essure permanent sterilization procedure in the office. Dr. Clark also performs laparoscopy, D&C, hysterectomy, and bladder suspension surgeries at the Sturgis Hospital. He also provides follow up care for abnormal pap smears.Dr. Clark delivers, on average, 15 to 20 babies per month at Sturgis Hospital via Vaginal delivery, C-sections, and Vaginal Birth after C-sections. Carol Sharp, CNP provides the following services: New OB intakes, follow-up OB care, well-woman exams, pap smears, Sexually Transmitted Disease checks, birth control counseling, Skyla IUD insertions, Nexplanon Implants, and any other female need that does not require surgery or hospital admission.Of course, Dr. Clark provides all services that are offered except he defers the New OB intakes to Carol Sharp. With the inception of the Affordable Care Act ? Women should note that ? if your insurance is compliant ? All forms of birth control and sterilization for women are covered at 100%. (no cost to the patient) As well as one well-woman exam being covered per year with no charge to the patient.
