Sand Bay Lodge and Cottages

I vacationed here with my family and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had a beautiful view of the sunsets over the water, went water-skiing, tubing, and biking with the equipment there and we were relatively close to northern Door County where there are many other attractions. The cottage itself was clean, comfortable, and fully stocked with kitchen utensils and towels!

DON'T STAY HERE!!! RUN, don't WALK in the OTHER direction. I had to give it a 1 star rating, it wouldn't give me the option of negative stars! This place was ill represented to us by one of the owners. It had bugs crawling through the cracked linoleum on the kitchen floor, and bugs in the bedrooms. There was duct tape patching something on the floor by the bathroom. The bed linens were nasty, old, and stained - GROSS. The doors were both broken - so unsafe - I don't care where you are, when you're traveling with kids, safety is paramount. I am in the process of disputing the claim to my credit card. Although we did not stay - HAD TO SLEEP IN OUR CAR WITH KIDS AFTER 4 HOUR DRIVE - we were charged for 2 days. Unreal. If you must stay in Sturgeon Bay, the Bridgeport Resort is BEAUTIFUL and has very compassionate employees. This place was an overpriced dump.
