        Overall

        The Cheese Shop offers a great variety of bulk items, jellies, pickles, cheese, deli meat, and tons of other goodies. Some of the prices are a little on the expensive side, but there are many affordable items, too. We always like to get some crackers and a little chunk of cheese to eat on our way home. :)

        The Cheese Shop is one of my most favorite places to frequent!!! I absolutely love their Kutztown Orange Cream sodas,and I'm able to buy them by the case,which is nice,because I get a discount for buying in bulk!!!:) Also love their deli meats,cheeses,and of course,their many varities of candies for those of us who have sweet tooth:) The staff always greets you with a hello and a smile.....just a great atmosphere all the way around!!!:)

        The Cheese Shop started on the back porch of the Hershberger family in the early 1960s. Mr. Hershbergers desire to share the quality cheeses produced in his home State of Ohio with the residents of Stuarts Draft inspired him to begin selling them on his back porch. In the early 1980s the Beiler family purchased The Cheese Shop and expanded the bulk foods selection, moving the store into the basement of his home.The present store was built in the early 1990s and allowed The Cheese Shop to offer sliced cheeses and deli meats. Today, our customers walk from their homes nearby or visit us from as far away as California and Europe. The helpful staff at The Cheese Shop is happy to answer customers cooking and baking questions, even if it means searching the internet while the customer continues shopping. Many of our spices are priced less than half of those found in the supermarket. Our high quality and unique cheeses are also offered at bargain prices when compared with most other stores. Our customers enjoy the unique snack selection, gluten free products, jams and jellies, old-fashioned candies, and hard-to-find baking ingredients. We offer bargain-priced quick and old-fashioned oatmeal as well as many other grains, organic rice, and much more.
