JthP is nothing short of a Fast Eddie used car salesman type. The price u pay will range from $3500-$6000 depending on how you act once the $6000 price tag is thrown on the table. Email me or details. The equipment is beyond repair for the most part. Horrible is an understatement. I ve never seen such dirty equipment anywhere in my life! One of the road trucks actually has a broken passenger window! The front office is extremely unorganized and waits to do just about everything until the last moment if not late. Problems with financing for a couple of people in my class didn t get brought up until after the final road test on the day we all came to pick up our certificates. Then, they refused to give out the paperwork that we needed to go to the sec of state. (Required to get the cdl) 5 out of the 9 in my class had last minute issues that they weren t told about until they came to pick up their certificates. If you sign with Conway, the program is $4000. If you change your mind and go with ANYONE else, they up it to $6000? Sound like some kind of kickback? The owner came in class one day for over an hour to give a recruiting speech for Stevens Transportation. Really? Felt like an an extension of Stevens Transportation. Kick back?
With all of this, there was actually a good side.

THE INSTRUCTORS ARE TOP NOTCH. You can feel the divide between the front office/owner and the instructors!
There is a reason for this! They are state approved for certification. However the state approval is tied to Warren who is the director of the school. He is a third party examiner meaning that Joe (the owner) needs him. Warren keeps a good staff on board that is very educated and quite obviously seasoned vets in the industry. The instructors take a very personal hands on approach to your education. They act as though they have a vested interest in your success. It is very obvious that even though Joe signs their checks, they would all leave if Warren did. I hope that they eventually put the funds together as a group to open up their own school. It would be top notch all the way around.

BOTTOM LINE......
Get locked in at a rate that is comfortable for you.
Negotiate until the rate is low.....other schools in Metro Detroit are at $4000. (Several publish their tuition.)
Gravitate to the instructors and just do your time.
Darren, John, Roger and Warren are the best! Each one teaches with a different style, and when you combine a little from each of them you will graduate a safe, proficient driver.

I just graduated 7/8/15 and I am so happy I chose this school. I went in knowing how to drive a manual but never behind the wheel of a big rig. The instructors go step by step and give u the tools to succeed. They want you to do well and be a safe driver. Tj, Mike,and Tyler are awesome there. They have a lot of patience and get you to trust in yourself. Just listen to them and it's a breeze from there. This is an investment in yourself. Best use of my time and money thus far. Thanks to us truck driving school.

Coming from a well educated background like many I ended up wanting more,and Unsure where to turn, After doing my research I Landed here. From A-Z I couldn't be more Grateful. I signed up and came in just like any other student, lost and confused. The instructors and staff here are the best at removing the lost, and confused and replacing them with well trained Truck Drivers. The instructors here are the best in the business and this was the best decision that I could have possibly made.

I passed today on august 22nd 2014 and I am very happy with this school. I have never drove a semi by myself before I came here and never backed up a trailer. I was also not mechanically inclined before I came here and now today I can successfully fully inspect a semi truck and trailer. I can do all docking needed on the road. the instructor are all patient with you and great people. this place feels more like a family and home. I couldn't have asked for a better school. Thank you U.S. truck driving school!!!

My name is Andrew Peacock and I graduated USTDS today August 13, 2014. The trainers and staff here are the best I cant thank them enough cause they helped me get into a new career that I know I will enjoy for many many years. I would like to thank John my instructor don't think I would of been able to do this without his help. If your thinking of getting into a trucking career I would highly recommend this school the people here are the best in their fields and they will help you with any problems that you have. I really cant say enough about this school so get here and get on the road.

my name is Benny West, I graduated from US Truck driver Training School on Wednesday, August 6th and I must say that the staff there made my experience there a great one.The Instructors were very knowledgeable when it came to teaching you how to get the trucks to perform the way you wanted them to. if your looking for a career in trucking this is the school to join. I would recommend it to anyone thinking about this type of career. Its not going to be easy, but if you put in the time and effort it will pay off at the end of your training.

I had a great experience with the teachers instructors at this school. Every one was very helpful and there to make sure secede. i would recommend anyone looking to become a tuck driver go to U.S Truck Driving and get the most out of your education. There lots to the school and what they can do for you talk to one there reps and see for yourself what they can do for you.

I am really thankful for the experience I had at U.S Truck Driving School. My instructors Bobby, John, and Pat were great! I honestly wouldn't have done it with out them. My English isn't at it's best, really friendly staff they help me with everything and I have a job already before graduating. Everybody helps to the last minute. Because of my English I had to take extra week to take extra help and they give it to me with all their instructors. I spend it driving and doing yard maneuvers. Thank you US truck driver training school.

Recent Graduate, USTDTS has the best staff and best training instructors. They really take care of every student that they have. Small class sizes lots of hands on training in the yard plenty of road time. They are patient and respectful and the LaBarge family treats everybody as their own. Special thanks to Josh and Troy. And the best thing is that you can come in anytime any day and get whatever training you need no question asked. They always have your back.

Will not recommend it! They treat you there like : We are Bosses and you are NOBODY! They just don't get a concept of trainer/student relationship. They will charge you between $3500-6000 for 3 weeks. THINK: $6000 for 3 weeks!! Instructors there, at least the ones i dealt with, don't give a rats @$$ about whether you pass the knowledge/driving test- more money for them. And you won;t get much respect or care there. So like i said they simply don't get it who puts bread and butter on their table!! Do NOT waste your time and money, find someone else!

I personally had a great experience at US Truck Driver Training. The staff was very curtious and professional. When it came to actual in-cab time the one on one with such a knowledgable, patient instructor made me feel very relaxed and comfortable driving and maneuvering the truck. If you are in the market to become a skilled commercial driver I would HIGHLY recommend US Truck-Driver Training.

I got my class a license at the detroit location on Central a few years back and had a great experience. My instructors were all well versed in the industry and took the extra time to not only teach us how to drive but to prepare us for a career in driving truck. I had some early issues with Alley Docking and Paul D took a few lunches with me in the truck to make sure I got it right. Tyler helped me to get the financing right despite some credit issues and the payments are now just a memory. My road test was a joke after going through the training program, my entire class passed with ease and most were placed with Stevens as soon as we graduated, me and one other guy went with a local outfit. Overall great experience with a great family owned business, great staff across the board, the president took time to explain how the industry works, his son Tyler helped me to get the money I needed for the course and the instructors made sure that I could turn on a dime when I was done.
