Chartwells Educational Dining Services does more than simply feed hungry students. It is committed to building strong bodies, sharp minds and establishing foundations for young people to live long, healthier lives. Comprised of three divisions, Chartwells serves more than 900 school districts, colleges and independent schools nationwide. Its K-12 Schools division serves approximately 2.5 million students in more than 500 school districts, offering a healthy selection of snacks, beverages and meals that meet the precise nutrition guidelines set forth by the National School Lunch and Breakfast Program. Its Flik Independent Schools division specializes in providing dining services at private institutions. The Higher Education division offers a range of dining options from vegan menus to home-style meals. As a division of the Compass Group, Chartwells maintains offices throughout the United States, including one in Staten Island, N.Y.
