Founded in 1947, HRI is a family-owned contractor. It is a part of Colas SA, a multinational corporation. The company s construction services include asphalt paving, heavy and highway construction, structures, utilities and treatment plants and site work. It primarily undertakes projects of PennDOT and local municipalities. Headquartered in State College, Pa., the company also provides construction services to private customers. The company s projects ranges from multimillion dollar highway projects and large commercial site work to emulsion application, recreational facilities and parking lots. HRI's manufacturing facilities include more than five hot-mix asphalt plants and an emulsion plant. Its facilities provide a variety of bituminous products for numerous state and local agencies and private contractors, as well as company s own projects. The company owns more than 1,400 pieces of heavy construction equipment and maintains a fleet of trucks.
