The U.S. Preventive Service Task Force is made of up health professionals and psychologists who evaluate evidence on various preventive health services. The task force now recommends regular anxiety screenings for youth ages 8 to 18 and regular depression screenings for adolescents ages 12 to 18. This can be done with your primary care physician, school counselor or mental health professional.

Burrell's Autism Center provides the latest and most effective diagnostic and autism treatment interventions for children and transitional age youth with an autism spectrum disorder. We also serve the entire family with supportive programs in southwest Missouri.

When maintaining focus is a challenge, Burrell can help. The ADHD clinic is home to a multidisciplinary treatment team that provides comprehensive evaluations and treatment for children with ADHD.

Mental Health
Our FREE Crisis Assist Team provides immediate, 24/7 response to individuals who have a mental health crisis or are having thoughts of suicide. The team helps find resources and provides support and service on an individual basis to manage the crisis. When it is clinically appropriate, a same-day or next-day face-to-face intervention will occur.
Psychiatry
We provide an array of services for adults ranging from individual and group therapy, to psychiatry, addiction recovery and case management. Our programs vary across southwest and central Missouri, but access and availability to therapy, psychiatry and case management is available throughout both regions.

Our psychiatrists work as part of a larger behavioral health team to address the medical needs of clients through medication management.
