General Info

The Bureau of Materials and Physical Research assists personnel, contractors, and material producers and suppliers of the Illinois Department of Transportation. The department provides assistance regarding procedures and programs used to accept and approve certain materials. The Bureau of Materials and Physical Research also employs a staff of engineers and administrative and other support personnel. The Illinois Department of Transportation operates a civil engineer scholarship program.
