Access Health Care

When I called the office to schedule the appointment, I gave them all my insurance information and the lady said they accepted it. So I go for my scheduled appointment made 1 month prior (which the office canceled a week prior without giving a reason - I had to reschedule). It wasn't until I was in the examining room, had been there at least 1/2 hour, that the woman from the front desk came in and asked questions about my insurance (this doctor is on our current provider list). She wasn't sure if they accepted it or not. I had to leave the office without seeing the physician. Don't put yourself through what I experienced! I had to miss work for nothing and now have to find another PCP. She told me later after I left the office, then called them back, that they don't take employer-based insurance. It would have been nice to know that at the time they scheduled the appointment and told me they accepted it. Why were they on our provider list then? Beware of this office!
