Urinary Incontinence
Urinary incontinence is any unwanted leakage of urine. It can be categorized as either stress or urge incontinence. Stress incontinence is typically experienced as leakage with activities like coughing, sneezing, running, or jumping. Urge incontinence is sometimes referred to as an overactive bladder and often manifests as a feeling of not being able to hold it or “I gotta go now!”. It is also possible to have a combination of stress and urge incontinence. Both types can be treated by improving strength, mobility and/or coordination of the pelvic floor muscles.

Physical Therapy Associates has proudly assisted in serving the needs of the Lewis and Clark High School athletic department since 1980. We have logged hundreds of hours providing on the field coverage for sport related injury and rehabilitation. Physical Therapy Associates also has a long standing relationship with Ferris High School as two of our Physical Therapists and owners are Ferris Alumni. Physical Therapy Associates employs a Certified Athletic Trainer at both LC and Ferris to evaluate, treat, and rehabilitate sports injuries. By having a Certified Athletic Trainer at each school student athletes receive immediate care and treatment for their injuries which allows for a decreased rehabilitation time.

We are excited to offer the services of Aquatic Therapy in our 13×15 foot Endless Pool. The pool comes with two separate underwater treadmills with available resistive current for either a walk/run or swim workout.
