Don't waste your money

What a disappointment and waste of money. We had a group of 12 people it took 40 minutes on a Tuesday night in an empty restaurant before they even took the drink order. Our waiter got at least half of our meals wrong and didn't even check back or notice that all but one person had their meal. We had to hunt down the waiter to bring it to his attention 20 minutes into the meal. There were no refills and no check back to ensure that food was delivered. Poor, poor service. The manager didn't even seem to care and because of this experience we will never return. If the food was good then maybe we could over look the horrible service but the food is so bland my Mexican food taste more authentic.

If I could choose a "last meal...

If I could choose a "last meal", the fajitas at Rancho Viejo would be my choice. I visit Spokane at least twice a year and I always ordered them at least twice during my visits. Ask them to "burn them" and they will be nice and browned. The salsa here is the best I've had at a Mexican restaurant (the hot is better than the mild). The vegetarian burrito is a surprisingly delicious feast. And I mean feast. It's hard for my mom and I to finish one between the two of us. The service is wonderful and I don't even have to tell the server what I want to drink. They remember. (Diet Coke with grenadine.)

The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the cost is on the high side for a casual restaurant. $16 for fajitas is steep. But, I pay it. Also, the tortilla soup is greasy and flavorless. Stick with the combo platers or fajitas.

!Excellente!

This family owned establishment is relaxing, and comfortable. The staff are friendly, and eager to help. Wonderful with children and my glass was never empty. The food was good, and was a excellent value.
