Overall

Customer came in Saturday July 26 for an oil change. We told her that her middle brake light was out. Customer came in Monday July 28 and asked us to check her brakes. We found a blown brake line (from proportioning valve that goes to gas tank )Had to drop tank to install new steel line. On Aug 14 her and her father came in because gas was leaking at fill up. We found fuel filler neck leaking. She had driven 800 miles since repair. We offered them a discount on labor to drop the tank again and install filler neck. Customer told us to "go F*** off" and refused work. Vehicle is a 1996 Ford Ranger and it is 18 years old and very rusted. We try our best for our customers but this vehicle required more work due to its age, not due to any incompetence on our part.

Thank You.

Overall

I used to enjoy coming to this place to get my oil changes and other maintenance. But, my last visit there was an absolute joke. For starters, I went for an oil change. I went in with no brake problems, and I came out with the Brake Light on. Between the two days they were closed, I went through 3 1/2 bottles of brake fluid. I return to them stating that I came in with no brake problem, and left with one.. They proceeded to tell me that my truck was old and rusted. So, they charged my parents $512 to fix a brake line due to having to move the fuel tank.. why so much you ask? because their labor prices are higher than Ford itself. After getting my brake line fixed, I was happy because my truck was running good again. But, when I went to the gas station a few days later to fill up.. I noticed that I was leaking gas from the fuel tank. I returned, stating that you broke some type of hose while removing or returning the fuel tank.. because I sure wasn't leaking gas before the maintenance. But, that same line came right out of the owners/mechanics mouth... your truck is just old and rusted. Hours later, the owner called my dad, to try and make things right... Now, if you are stating you did nothing wrong, why are you trying to negotiate the situation? Makes no sense to me. But, the bottem line is, I had no problems before I entered that shop.. so, why should my parent's be told to pay another $325 to a shop that couldn't get things right the first time? Or have to buy the hose themselves and then have those people install it for $85? Just seems off to me and un-customer service like. Where I work, if we raise our voice to a customer or even question them, we get written up or possibly fired. Because like good salesmanship, the customer is always right. Due to all these headaches. Now, my parents are out $512, my truck isn't fixed, and I can't get around to work/school due to poor mechanics and their skills. So, my advice to you is, save yourself the frustration/headaches and go somewhere where the money is worth it. Because the owner telling my father that he shouldn't drive if he doesn't have the money to pay for it. Is pretty unsatisfactory. Because no customer should be yelled at by a business, let alone insulted by one.
