Happy Pets Inn

I'm new to the Sunset district of San Francisco, so a family emergency that required travel to North Carolina presented a big problem for our geriatric dog, Oscar. I turned to local friends and got a referral to Happy Pets Inn that came with the assurance that Oscar would love his stay in the vineyards of Sonoma. I was very relieved when Cecile told me she would take him; she even offered to have their vet give him a Bordetella vac if I couldn't get an apt. before bringing him. I hadn't found a local vet yet so she gave me three referrals in my neighborhood. I chose one and was thrilled to get a same day apt. and a lovely new vet at Avenues Pet Hospital in one fell swoop.



My daughter and I took Oscar to Sonoma the next day even though Happy Pets will pick up & drop off your cat or dog if you need it. We loved the facility and the owners immediately. They have plenty of room, fresh air, comfortable quarters, and offer a secure environment for the family treasures they board. Oscar has never been boarded in his 14 years, but he was instantly befriended by a Pug, a Scotty, an even older (16) Terrier, and a 6 month old Spanish Water Dog - it was right out of Disney movie. Cecile sent reports by e-mail to ease my mind while I was away, and this morning our darling boy was delivered to my doorstep by Jean Pierre, who gently kissed Oscar goodbye before setting him down. Oscar was happy to be home, but after running up the front steps he came back and made a dash for the Happy Pets van. Either he wanted more fun at "doggy camp" or he was having a hard time saying goodbye to the beautiful little Papillon girl relaxing in one of the transport kennels in the van.



I absolutely recommend this facility for your fur babies. The price is affordable and the care is priceless. We're so happy, we may send him back for a weekend now and then, just to visit his new California friends - two legged and four!
