Being in her field myself, I found her very defensive If needed to question any of her orders, for instance she tried to tell me I had to go to a place I used to work to receive counseling, also she wanted me on antidepressants, calling me closed minded when I didn't entertain it. Never mind that I'm 50 with no history of depression. The problem turned out to be a serious medical issue that's being treated by an endocrinologist. When I informed dawn, she ignoredme. One of the last problems was my repeatedly having to ask her to stop calling/texting my wife and to contact me directly. Honestly, you just dont click with some people but in her field the doctor should be able to at least be professional. A good nurse should be able to work with the patient, listen to their needs and together develope a plan for success. I felt like her focus was on being right, not helping the patient. Nursing attracts a lot of dysfunctional people but in the end it usually comes down to patient care, in her case it came down to winning. My final visit there she asked me a question that she'd asked me at every visit, when I mentioned the answer hadn't changed, she said " I dont care, take the next 30 days and find a new doctor" I didn't have the heart to remind her shes not a doctor, just a nurse and a bully.
