        Overall

        This is like my favorite book store in the ENTIRE UNIVERSE!!!!! They have all kinds of books right away when they come out and like really old books and stuff too. Also if they ever don't have the book you want, they'll order it special for you and you can become a member and after a while they give you like ten dollars off so that's awesome too.

An independent bookstore since 1970, The Book Loft has served the needs of the local residents of Santa Ynez Valley, visitors from Scandinavian countries, visiting tourists and those that appreciate individual care form the knowledgeable staff.Untold delight can be found with a bountiful selection of local authors (often signed copies), a selection of antiquarian books tucked away upstairs at The Solvang Book Company, coffee and refreshments available in the adjacent Solvang Coffee Company, and the Hans Christian Andersen Museum, which celebrates Denmark's most famous writer.The Book Loft is a full service bookstore- the helpful staff would love to locate that difficult to find or out-of-print book, help you select the perfect gift, or ship your order to your destination.
