David Poynter, MD is a primary care physician with Eastside Medical Group who specializes in sports medicine. Having completed his sports medicine fellowship at Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Poynter went on to serve as head team physician and assistant team physician for a number of sports teams including the Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland Browns and a number of high school and university teams. Dr. Poynter graduated from Wake Forest Medical School in 2008 and opened Loganville Family and Sports Medicine with his wife Elisha Poynter, MD in January 2015.
