The Hawthorne Center is administered by the H.A.V.E.N. Academy, which is a part of the Georgia Psychoeducational Network. The network serves students with severe emotional and behavioral disorders and autism. Each student is assigned to a professional child care technician who assists with daily activities management and teaching. It provides case management services and group and individual crisis counseling. The center has a a crisis management team that assists in the therapeutic management of crisis situations. It offers individualized academic and behavioral planning services for students based on their individualized education programs. The Hawthorne Center conducts parent training classes to assist parents and other caregivers in learning how to effectively work with the school to ensure maximum treatment success for their children. The Hawthorne Center is located in Smyrna, Ga.
