DO NOT SHOP HERE. I was excited to find this place in walking distance of my new home - was about to make it my go-to beer and wine store, until I actually went there. I was about to buy about $50 worth of wine and beer. I brought a reusable Whole Foods bag to hold it all (since I couldn't carry it all with just my hands). I had put two bottles of wine in the bag and was about to pick a few beers (was texting my fiance to ask what he wanted), when the cashier came back and told me she was CALLING THE POLICE because I was STEALING THE WINE. I calmly told her that I was not stealing it but had put it in my bag because I couldn't hold everything I was about to buy. She didn't care - she told me I had to put it back or she was calling the police. I brought the bottles up and told her that she had just lost a $50 sale and a potential life-long customer. She seemed to try to backtrack, saying she wasn't accusing me, but that I had to carry my wine in a store basket (which apparently are kept in the back of the store, not right by the door - I hadn't even seen them). But if that was the case, she could have just asked me to use a basket, or asked if she could help carry my bottles to the counter - she didn't have to accuse me of stealing and threaten to call the police. Bottom line: don't go here unless you want to be treated like a criminal. You're much better off at 730 Sligo (formerly Iva's) a few blocks down the road - same selection of beer and wine, and much kinder staff.
