Burke Williams Day Spa

I have been going there for ten months now, unfortunately because I signed up for an annual membership so it is use or lose. The first time there of course was great, service, etc then out of the reminder 9 visits 5 have been just flat out ridiculous. One the towels in two different locations had mascara on them, which makes you wonder how clean they really are since the second location in front of the sauna had this towel rolled up into the ice tray, which means someone had to look at it and still place it there. Spoke to a manager which was nothing but attitude. Next time not only did they changed the person I had booked for the appointment without telling me but the equipment in the room was not working so part of my paid time was spend going out of the room to get working equipment that worked, spoke to the manager at the front and nothing, just a nodding person. Then I advice them like my contract states that I will be absent for two months but no one notes my account so I spend almost two weeks making phone calls, and trying to get someone on the telephone that can do this so that they don't keep my money. A month ago I make an appointment with the an specific person, I show up to my appointment and they gave me someone else once again. I refused to be serviced by a different person than the one I had made the reservation with, but they say there is nothing we can do, we are booked and we don't know how or why it happened. Do you want a bath for your trouble?????? The general manager received my message and I am still waiting for a call back. And so on.......

For supposedly a high end spa the service is atrocious, the lack of professionalism is amazing, and they have zero management that can actually do something to please someone that has taking the time to book with plenty of time in advance and then get tossed aside. I have not been to other locations but I can honestly say the Sherman Oaks location is just horrid. Zero general management and less than useful front desk management.



*****06/19/13 Got a call back Sunday form the General Manager at this branch, after speaking with her and giving her all the details of the incidents she ask me to give her til Wednesday to look into it. Just got the call back from after apologizing for the incidents and acknowledging that it was their fault she said she cannot guarantee things to run perfectly and hinted they may not be able to meet my standards and that I may not be happy and this needs to be a mutual way of understanding, that she saw my review and in mentioning her we don't agree as to how fast a General Manager should respond to someone sitting there waiting to be tended to....so one of the options was to let me off the contract (really the only option she offered me was this) but spoke about me doing reservations instead of the front desk,) which she was more than happy to do....SOME SERVICE! I hope someone lets their corporate know how possible long term clients are treated. And for those joining remember this is the treatment you can get. As for me I will take my business elsewhere

I've been to 2 other BWs but this is my first time in Sherman Oaks-Not a happy camper there., . I made it a point that I arrived early when they opened. But its soo silly because I did arrive when they opened and it was already packed. They booked so many people at the same time slots. The Sauna, Steam Room and Jacuzzi were constantly full. Was able to use the jacuzzi, steam and sauna room but felt like sardines- all cramped in. Even the techs themselves were saying "too many appointments booked today, not much space." That's the first and last for me...

Burke Williams is the ultimate relaxing zone, so comfortable on every level. I had a facial while my body was wrapped in warm blankets, then a mainicure with my legs wrapped up in warmth. Then I sipped tea and visited with my sisters and daughters. We spent time in the spa tub, the steam room and finally showered, blew dry our hair, put on makeup and left feeling very renewed and relaxed. There was tea and fresh fruit to snack on and constant care given to us and to the facility.
