The Sherman Volunteer Fire Department is an all-volunteer organization that provides fire fighting and ambulance services for the residents of Sherman, Conn. The town also participates in a paramedic intercept program that deploys a paramedic to the scene when warranted by the victim s symptoms. The fire marshal is certified by the Office of the State Fire Marshal. He is responsible for the enforcement of many of the sections found in Chapter 541 of the Connecticut General Statutes and regulations under the Division of Safety, as well as numerous codes which are promulgated under the provisions of these statutes. The Sherman Volunteer Fire Department is located in Sherman, Conn.
