Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Dr. DiTano treats pathology in the entire upper extremity. He is involved with treating common hand conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome and hand arthritis with endoscopic carpal tunnel release and joint replacements. Dr. DiTano stated, “These techniques can eliminate pain and restore normal function to the hand.” He continues to specialize in trauma reconstruction and nerve compression injuries in the upper extremity. He also is available to give second opinions to help patients if needed.

Dr. Evans joined Greater Pittsburgh Orthopaedic Associates in 2009. He earned his B.S. from the University of Pittsburgh, and his M.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Evans completed his internship in general surgery at Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh and his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Illinois-Chicago. Dr. Evans was a Clinical Instructor in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
Orthopedics
Dr. Kubik is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a diplomat of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine as well as the Arthroscopy Association of North America. Locally, he is a member of the Pennsylvania Medical Society, Allegheny County Medical Society and the Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society. Dr. Kubik’s main specialties in orthopedics are in the treatment of the shoulder and knee. Regarding the shoulder, he specializes in the treatment of rotator cuff and labral tears as well as shoulder instability and arthritis. Dr. Kubik performs a high volume of shoulder replacements including reverse shoulder replacement. In the knee, he specializes in the care of ACL and meniscal tears as well as arthritis. He performs a high number of knee replacements including the Oxinium ceramic knee which is indicated for younger, more active patients. He also utilizes the Visionaire patient-matched computer knee replacement technique which allows for improved implant sizing and positioning resulting in a less invasive, more personalized patient experience.
Arthroscopy
Because it is less invasive than traditional open surgery, there is less trauma to surrounding tissue. There is also significantly less scarring. Many people are able to undergo arthroscopic elbow surgery with a localized anesthetic, which greatly reduces risks associated with surgery. Additionally, there is often less stiffness and swelling after an elbow arthroscopy, which results in an increased range of motion and shorter recovery time.

Dr. Kramer received his bachelor’s of science degree from Pennsylvania State University in 1988, and his medical degree from University of Pittsburgh in 1992. He completed his surgical internship and Orthopaedic Surgery residency at University of Alabama in Birmingham, and was the administrative chief resident from 1997- 1998. He completed a six-month sports medicine rotation at Healthsouth Medical Center in Birmingham with the renowned Dr. James Andrews. He then completed a spine fellowship at the University of Maryland Hospitals in Baltimore in 1999.
