Crescent Pointe Apartments

looks like they need maintenance

Lived here for 6 months while needing to commute to Clemson University.



While apartments are a bit larger than any "city-type" apartment, my lease ends this month and i'm still not sure whether i'm living in a retirement community or an apartment complex.









$605 per month will get you a 1 bedroom apartment (2 full rooms, 1 bath, 1 walk-in closet, 1 kitchen).







It will not however get you a ceiling fixture in your bedroom (walked in and wires were hanging out above my bed...was told they do not install a light or fan in order to "give the tenet the choice." I solved the problem by installing my own fan/light combo, which also give "the tenet the choice." Point is, there's $50 you will be spending as soon as you move into the apartment.







Secondly, washer and dryers are not included in the units, although $100 less ($499 per month) will get you the same size apartment but closer to Clemson with a washer dryer included (reference - I lived in this apartment at Heritage Hills in Seneca for 2 years).



There are also cheaper apartment complexes closer to the hospitals in the area, so not sure why this is the most expensive one-bedroom in the area....



Lastly, it is important to note when signing a lease that you MUST give 30 days notice before moving out EVEN if your contract has said, like mine did, that i would be moving out at the end of 6 months.



As my contract was to end at the end of February, i was told i needed to give 30 days notice on the 6th, and upon returning the form within 24 hrs was told my lease would end 30 days FROM THAT MOMENT, resulting in me paying an extra $100.







A final note: the "gym facilities" include 2 treadmills side-by-side and a free weights machine in a room no larger than a spacious bathroom - NOT suited for use by more than 2 people at a time (unless they know one another well and are familiar with routines).
