Founded in 1851, YMCA Camp Shady Brook organizes residential summer camp for children up to the age of 15. It features a more than 20-bed accommodation facility, as well as dining halls that has a seating capacity of over 140 guests. The camp s lodge offers space for nearly 120 individuals. YMCA Camp Shady Brook provides opportunities to participate in basketball, volleyball, golf, canoeing, kayaking, archery and swimming and organizes arts and crafts competitions. The camp also conducts drama, bike and art competitions. It receives funding for aquatic activities and reconstruction, installation and purchasing services. YMCA Camp Shady Brook additionally organizes traditional and specialty camps.
