Gastroenterology Associates of Sarasota

Upon being diagnosed with esophageal Cancer, by my GI at Intercoastal, I was referred by Florida Cancer Specialists to Dr Stephen Kucera M.D. of Gastronterology Associates. Due to the severity and dilapidating symptoms of Esophageal Cancer, my procedures have to be quite often, 28 in 22 months. initially one every 3 weeks, without them initially swallowing was impossible. Due to Dr. Kucera MD's, diligence and candor, I have progressed to a procedure every 8 weeks, with the only swallowing issue being, my attempting to find the food types, which I find possible to swallow, this is a trial by error process. but a process once unattainable.

Dr. Kucera, is the only Physician I want to carry out my Esophageal "Maintenance", I plan my Vacation and Procedures around his schedule. Without his expertise and encouragement, I would not be anywhere close to the stage of recovery I am presently.

His entire team at Gastroenterology Associates and SMH, are a wonder to behold. Alie Holmes, his LPN, is a joy to deal with. If I have a specific date, I need a procedure, she will accommodate me as much as is feasible.

I was down to 117Lb (53 Kg) when first visited Dr Kucera MD, he was very honest about the procedures required, and the options open to me. I am now 146Lb (66 Kg). Dr Kucera literally pulled me from the edge, and saved me!
