General Info

Express began as an idea, back in 1987, hashed together by a couple of longtime friends. Tim, an exhaust enthusiast with 15 years experience in bolt-on and custom fabricated systems. Scott, a fabricator with 13 years experience hand-building truck bodies for the likes of SDG&E, PacBell (now AT&T) and the Santa Fe Railroad. The two purchased a bender and began working out of Scotts garage in the evenings and on weekend. As the story goes, the little, old lady across the street reported them to the city and they were left with a choice, close up shop or move. They found a two bay shop in a nearby auto mall and in March of 1989, Express Muffler was born. Three years later, finding just as much demand for hitch and trailer work, the name was changed to Express Muffler & Hitch. Over the next several years, as the needs of our customers have grown, the products and services we provide have also and so in 2005 our name evolved once again to better reflect the growth. Known now as Express Performance Center, going into our 25th year in business, we are committed to continue providing great service and products at a competitive rate.
