Great Way to See LA

I booked a tour with Los Angeles Sightseeing to show an old friend and out-of-towner around the city. I've lived here for years, but this time I decided to let someone else handle the driving, the navigating, the parking and so forth. I have to say, it was a great decision and I'm definitely doing this from now on when visitors ask me to "show them around LA."

Our driver was very upbeat and knowledgeable--plus she made a real effort to get to the know the people on our tour so she could fine-tune her route a little bit and swing by places that weren't automatically included on the tour. The best part was how much we crammed into one day of sightseeing: we went all the way from Santa Monica on the West Side, to Hollywood on the East Side and up to Universal Studios. If you're visiting LA, I suggest doing this tour first thing and then backtracking later to the places you liked most.

Even a SoCal local is impressed!

I recently booked an open air Hollywood bus tour for my co-workers and I on Los Angeles Sightseeing. First of all, I'm not a normal tourist…I was born and raised in Southern California. But I recently moved to Texas, and on a recent trip to LA, all my co-workers wanted to see the sights in Hollywood. Booking on the lasightseeing.net site was fast and easy, and it only took a few minutes. Well, even the SoCal native had a blast and learned quite a few things about his native LA. Our tour guide was far more informed about the area than I was (even though I tried to squeeze a few comments in), and the three-plus hours simply flew by! We saw everything we wanted to, including the beach, Hollywood boulevard and even the Hollywood Sign (my favorite part of the tour). Even if you think you know LA, book a Hollywood tour right away…it's worth it!

Great for a family vacation

Our family took a vacation to LA this past summer and we relied on Los Angeles Sightseeing Tours almost every single day while we were there. I am a nervous traveler to begin with, and bringing children along makes me even more so. I was able to make plans in advance for almost everything we planned to do in LA: day trips to Disney, Sea World and Knott’s Berry farm, as well as a sightseeing tour of LA and Santa Monica. We were picked up at our hotel, we knew when the busses would be there to the minute, and they were always on time. The busses were comfortable; tickets to the parks were taken care of; and on the sightseeing tour, the guide was friendly and fun, making sure that both adults and children enjoyed the trip. It is a joy to find such reliable and professional service to alleviate the stresses of vacation travel.

Evening Tour!

I took the ‘Los Angeles evening tour’ with Los Angeles Sightseeing, and was really impressed with the trip! Normally when you think of LA, you think of beaches and sunshine, but my out-of-town friends wanted something a little different, so I took them on the night tour. I mean, I’ve seen the lights of LA from the freeway, but taking the tour is a different experience—the bus takes you past landmarks like the Disney Concert Hall and the Kodak Theater (where the Oscars are held), which are all lit up at night. You can get some amazing photos, and it’s also a good way to scout out places to return to later. The buses are nice, and we loved our driver. I would definitely recommend the night tour if you have friends or family in town. It’s a good option if you want to keep your days open for beach lounging!

Hollywood Fun Bus

My friends and I had never been to LA before, and we wanted to see as much as we could in a short time, then pick a place to spend more time. We decided to scope things out on the Hollywood Fun Bus, and it really lived up to its name! We saw all the stuff you generally think of when you think Hollywood, like the footprints at the Chinese theater, the stars in the sidewalk on the Walk of Fame (Hollywood Blvd), the Hollywood sign, and the Sunset Strip. We saw the place where they do the Oscars, too.

We also got to see Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, the Third St Promenade in Santa Monica, and the beach! The whole trip took about three hours, and we felt we’d really seen what LA had to offer. We decided to spend the rest of our time at Santa Monica, where we could shop on the promenade, eat in some nice little restaurants and hang out on the beach. (A little too chilly to actually get in the ocean!)

The guide was fun and made things interesting, with all kinds of trivia and facts that we didn’t know. It was really convenient, too. They even came and picked us up at our cheapo motel in Culver City – I thought you only got that kind of service when you stayed at the fancy places. The bus is funky and fun, and everybody had a good time. It’s not enclosed, so be sure to wear sunscreen!

Best Time Ever!

My family recently took a trip to Santa Monica. I wanted to see some sights during the day when my husband was busy and decided to give Los Angeles Sightseeing Tours a try. I wasn't expecting very much when the hotel suggested I give them a call, but I was pleasantly surprised. They actually came to the hotel to pick us up and dropped us off again at the end of the tour. I didn't have to worry about how to get around at all. The person I spoke with on the phone was very friendly and helpful. She fit us in on a tour at the last minute! They offer online booking too, but I needed a same-day reservation, so I called. I reserved the Los Angeles City and Movie Stars´ Homes tour, so we got to visit Rodeo Drive, Hollywood Boulevard, that famous Hollywood sign, and a bunch of celebrity homes and neighborhoods. We even got to see where Michael Jackson lived before his death. Our guide was fabulous and even managed to keep my teenage daughter engaged. He knew a lot of insider-type information and had a great sense of humor. We got to see sights we surely would have missed if we'd been on our own. Honestly, the tour was well worth what we paid for it. We ended up going on an afternoon tour, but I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they offer tours that start at other times of the day too. My sister is visiting LA next month, and I told her all about this company.

Great Fun at Universal Studios with LA Sightseeing

Our family loves movies and wanted to be sure to visit Universal Studios when we took our LA vacation. Since we flew, we were trying to figure out an affordable way to get to the Studios from our hotel. Turns out, Los Angeles Sightseeing offers a tour package which included free pickup at our hotel. The package included a full day's ticket to the park, so basically all we had to do was get up and brush our teeth before leaving! On the administrative side of things, I was very pleased to see that LA Sightseeing had a user-friendly website that included a phone number (in large enough print to be able to find it) so I could call with my usual questions. We had a great time and would work with this company again in a heartbeat.
