Teeth Cleaning
Very good dentist. She seems like a genuine, caring person, and her staff were very friendly as well. Recently went for my first visit and she took my x rays and cleaned my teeth in the same visit. After going to another dentist a few months ago that made me schedule two different appointments for x rays and a teeth cleaning, having both done in one visit was a relief. Give her a try if you, you won't be disappointed.

Dental sealants are hard plastic-like materials that are placed into the grooves of the chewing surfaces of teeth in order to help prevent cavities. They work by blocking out the sticky, sugary foods and liquids that tend to get caught in the teeth. The application is fast and pain-free. Dental sealants are recommended based on the child’s diet, history of cavities, and overall anatomy of the teeth.

First, remain calm. Second, locate the tooth. Always hold the tooth by the crown (not the root). Third (if possible), determine whether it is a baby tooth or a permanent tooth. If it is a baby tooth, do not replace the tooth in the socket. For permanent teeth, reimplant by applying mild finger pressure. If that is not possible, put the tooth in a glass of milk and take your child and the glass immediately to the pediatric dentist.

Aura Marcela Torres was born in Villavicencio, Colombia and attended San Martin University in Bogotá, graduating with honors in Dental Medicine in 1988. After moving to the U.S. in 1990, she continued her studies in general and restorative dentistry, earning her license to practice dentistry in California in 1994. Dr. Torres worked three years as an associate with a specialist in pediatric dentistry and ran the University of California Santa Cruz Dental Clinic for five years. Professional memberships include ADA (American Dental Association), CDA (California Dental Association) and MBDS (Monterey Bay Dental Society).

I love love love LOVE Dr. Torres!!!!! every time i see her, she makes me feel like i have the best teeth in the world:D. there is positive energy flowing everywhere in her office. Even the scariest procedure doesnt seem that bad. Dr. Torres has the best recommendations. I need to get an implant, so she referred me to Dr. Amer for my TADs and Dr. Yellich for my oral surgeon. Both have been excellent!! The hygienists are all really nice and careful with your teeth. I love the text message reminders/appointment confirmations!! Highly recommend Dr. Torres!!!!!

Dr. Abbas is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.
