DO NOT do business with Florida Turf Pro!!! They DO NOT deliver healthy sod nor are they available by phone or email to assist with questions or concerns in a timely manner as they claim on their web site. Buyer beware! After much consideration we invested over $2,500 with Florida Turf Pro to install new sod at our home in July 2011. After careful watering and professional treatment of our new sod (as recommended by Florida Turf Pro) we noticed only 10 days after installation that the lawn was not taking root and appeared in serious distress. After a week’s worth of repeated calls to owner David Cunningham he finally came out and inspected our lawn. He assured me that the lawns root system was fine however the blades of grass had developed a fungus due to the current weather conditions and shade in our yard. As the lawn had already been treated twice with a liquid fungicide (per Florida Turf Pro’s care instructions) he advised us that our lawn needed to be retreated with a granular fungicide which was applied immediately. He said it would take 30 days to see improvement. After only two weeks I again tried to contact David regarding our dissatisfaction with our lawn and my suspicions that the sod that was installed had root disease when it was delivered. It has been exactly 60 days since installation, and our new sod installed by Florida Turf Pro is beyond recovery… David Cunningham made an offer to replace our sod but that we would have to pay for delivery, removal and installation of new sod to the tune of $739. We advised him that we are willing compromise and remove and install the sod ourselves but that we are not willing to pay for delivery. Interestingly enough, Florida Turf Pro’s next correspondence was a retraction of his offer to replace the sod. As I said before, DO NOT do business with Florida Turf Pro!!!
