General Info
In 1975, Rex Bushman graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas. From there he was accepted to and attended law school at the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University. In 1978, he graduated from law school and passed the Utah State Bar exam. Since that time, Rex has practiced law in the State of Utah. He's practiced law significantly in the areas of litigation throughout his career, where his in-court experience in pleadings and appearances have blossomed to a highly technical degree. Rex has been published twice in the Utah State Bar Journal. Hes also represented clientele from a wide variety of backgrounds. He taught, for a time, with the Washington Institute of Graduate Studies classes for attorneys working on Masters Degrees while pursuing his legal practice. Outside of his career, Rexs outside interests helped him to become a member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. He even toured the world as a singer in that group, selling CDs with the local Deseret Book Store and Seagull Book Stores. Currently, Rex has 2 true-to-life books on behavioral science on sale at the BYU Bookstore. Hes also a father to 5 children that live in the area. From misdemeanors to felony citations and indictments, theres nothing Rex cant handle. Cases such as these are normally resolved by the defense counsel offering a plea bargain for the client to admit or plead no contest to a lesser included offense. This will save the time of the prosecutor in bringing the case to trial. If you choose to stay out of trouble during your probationary period, in most cases, the plea you entered previously will be fully dismissed. In the event that charges are too significant to enter a plea bargain or counsel and the prosecutor cannot agree on an adequate resolution, pre-trial will be used to determine if probable cause exists or if theres enough evidence to make it to trial.
