Increased brown iris pigmentation has occurred when the same formulation of bimatoprost ophthalmic solution was instilled directly into the eye to treat elevated intraocular pressure/glaucoma. Although iris pigmentation was not reported in clinical studies with LATISSE®, patients should be advised about the potential for increased brown iris pigmentation which is likely to be permanent.

Most people are familiar with botulinum toxin to get rid of wrinkles. But recent studies published in Neurology and Pain Research and Management have shown that botulinum toxin's muscle-relaxing properties show promise in stopping jaw clenching and teeth grinding. At least for some time. Evidence and studies have shown that botulinum toxin could help treat various non-cosmetic conditions in addition to bruxism, too. Botulinum toxin paralyzes muscles temporarily, making it equally useful in treating other conditions in the head and face (like facial dystonia and migraines) in which certain muscles need to be relaxed.

Moles
Mole Removal Dr. Tsai uses a variety of methods including a range of lasers or radiosurgery to treat sun damage, hyperpigmentation, flat or raised moles, age spots or pigmented lesions and other skin conditions such as DPNs (dermatosis papulosa nigra), Seb Ks (seborrheic keratosis), rosacea, melasma and others.

Skin Cancer
Too much sun exposure over time makes the skin age more quickly. The UVA “aging” rays that cause wrinkles, sagging and brown spots are ever present, regardless of weather, climate or season. UVB “burning” rays can cause sunburns and skin cancer.
Acne Treatment
Dusa BLU-U and Levulan are considered a last resort acne treatment. Dr. Tsai recommends this to patients who have tried and failed a variety of other acne treatments. Patients who are considered to be appropriate candidates for photodynamic therapy for the treatment of acne have used the following treatments without success...
Lesions
Benign lumps and bumps on the face and body can be cosmetically removed without the need for a scalpel and stitches. Dr. Tsai uses the Ellman Surgitron to remove benign skin lesions without scarring, bleeding, or pain. The Ellman Surgitron uses advanced radiowave technology to precisely cut and coagulate soft tissue while minimizing thermal tissue damage.
