Tanya began working with Dr. Scott Barttelbort’s team June 2014 as the Administrative Assistant and has now moved on to become the Patient Coordinator as of August 2016. Her front office experience began at Rady Children’s Primary Care Medical Group where she worked for five years. During her time there she received the Service Excellence Award of the Year of over twenty different offices in San Diego, nominated by both management and the providers. Prior to working at Rady, Tanya worked five years as a caregiver for Alzheimer’s and geriatric patients. She is committed to creating an optimal experience for each patient and values being involved from consultation through each patient’s final post-op visit.

Ultrasound
Hi! My name is Suzi and I’m a breast cancer SURVIVOR. I can’t stress enough on the importance of self-exams; by doing so I found a lump in my left breast and the ultrasound found two more. My battle began by having a biopsy on January 6, 2004 and two days later finding out that I had breast cancer, not just one but three different types. I told my surgeon that I wanted both breasts removed and replaced with two new bigger, better and improved ones that won’t sag. Before leaving her office I was given a list of physicians for me to begin meeting the next day; Dr. B. was one of those listed on my team.

General Surgery
Dr. Barttelbort graduated from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and completed his general surgery training at the Naval Regional Medical Center in San Diego. He received his plastic surgery training at Yale University School of Medicine, where he served as chief resident and held a clinical teaching position. In addition to his private cosmetic surgery practice in La Jolla, Dr. Barttelbort is also a Voluntary Assistant Clinical Professor with the Division of Plastic Surgery at the UCSD School of Medicine, as well as former Chief of Plastic Surgery at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, California.

Botox
This patient is in her mid-thirties and is seeing the early signs of aging but is not yet ready for surgical correction. Botox was used to help minimize the furrow to her brow, while dermal filler softened her nasolabial folds and created contour to her cheek bones. Patient wanted enhanced lips but in a very modest way, dermal filler was added to both upper and lower lips to give her more volume with a very natural appearance.
Brow Lift

Eyelid Surgery
During eyelid surgery, Dr. Barttelbort will make incisions as inconspicuously as possible and remove excess skin, muscle, and fat to smooth and tighten the skin of the eyes. Eyelid surgery can be performed to enhance the upper eyelids, the lower eyelids, or both, and several techniques can be used. At your consultation with Dr. Barttelbort, he will discuss your options with you and create a surgical plan that will give you optimal results that look extremely natural.
Liposuction
Fat transfer (also known fat grafting) is a procedure where fat is harvested from areas of your body with excess fatty tissue and is then transferred to regions that lack volume. Dr. Barttelbort removes the fat via power assisted liposuction then filters the fat with the Puregraft fat grafting technique preserving the regenerative cells to transfer. This purified fat can help contour many parts of the face including the cheeks, brow, temples and jawline. The additional volume results in a more youthful and aesthetically pleasing appearance.
Breast Augmentation

Breast enlargement with implants, also called breast augmentation, is a cosmetic procedure designed to increase the size of a woman’s breasts. Breast Reduction
Chronic neck and back pain, bra strap indentations on the shoulders, and general discomfort are all unfortunate realities for many women with large, heavy breasts. Plastic Surgery

Neck Lift
At a fully accredited surgical facility, the facelift procedure begins with carefully placed incisions along the hairline. Next, Dr. Barttelbort tightens and secures the facial and neck muscles with fine sutures, then lifts and removes excess skin. The remaining skin is then smoothed, redraped, and secured with sutures or small surgical clips. If necessary, neck lift can be performed in conjunction with facelift to provide additional rejuvenation of the chin and neck. Neck lift requires only a small incision under the chin through which Dr. Barttelbort removes excess fat and skin, and tightens the neck muscles, effectively eliminating the appearance of jowls, neck bands and sagging.
Blepharoplasty
Eyelid surgery, which is also called blepharoplasty, can reduce the appearance of puffiness and drooping eyelid skin, as well as diminish bags and wrinkles around the eye area. Eyelid surgery effectively rejuvenates the eye area, giving the patient a more revitalized appearance.
