Salisbury Visiting Nurse Association, established in 1904, is a nonprofit visiting nurse agency. It provides a range of health care services through home health aides, registered nurses, medical social workers and homemaking assistants. Its nursing services include cardiac and respite care, psychiatric nursing, pediatric services and hospice care. It also offers various rehabilitation services that include speech, occupational and physical therapies. It offers a nanny care program, which includes assistance with various nonmedical duties, such as bathing, feeding, and diapering. In addition, it provides day care consultation. Salisbury Visiting Nurse Association, a Medicare and Medicaid certified agency, is located in Salisbury, Conn.
