Dr. Beauprez grew up in Littleton, Colorado. In her youth, she spent many cherished days hiking, camping, and whitewater rafting with her parents in Chaffee County, which fostered in her a deep love of nature and a great affection for the community of the Arkansas River Valley. She studied microbiology at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, and after graduation, found work as a medical scribe. Enchanted by the marriage of human connection and science, she was moved to pursue a career in medicine. She attended the University of Colorado School of Medicine, where she was a proud member of the rural track. She had the good fortune to rotate at First Street Family Health, where under the guidance of Dr. Burkley, Dr. Grant-Nierman, Dr. Lombardo, and Dr. Schaler, she developed a passion for family medicine and obstetrics, and her affection for the community of Salida deepened. She completed her residency in family medicine at North Colorado Family Medicine in Greeley, Colorado, a program known for providing intensive obstetric training and creating top notch rural family doctors. Her dream of joining First Street Family Health and serving the community of Salida came true in 2021, and she could not be more grateful for the opportunity. She is humbled by the large shoes Dr. Schaler has left for her to fill and is honored by the trust that he and the First Street family have placed in her.
