A little bit of Whiskey for Dr. Lipscomb! :)

My mother brought her cat, Whiskey into the vet(Dr. Lipscomb) for vomiting. We came in, and everyone was great! Dr. Lipscomb was kind and personable, very informative. She explained everything in detail, and then afterwards, called 2-3 times to check on the cat. They were all great! After my taking my mother (and whiskey too!) I was so impressed that I'm going to call to set up all my animals with Dr.Lipscomb too!

I have been taking my dog Aero to Orchard View since they first opened and I have always been impressed with the compassion that they have shown every time I'm in there. This compassion was even more evident during each of the two times my silly dog ate a sock and had to have them surgically removed. During the last surgical "incident", Dr. Lipscomb, knowing that I had already spent over a thousand dollars each of the two times at the emergency vet clinic, with him getting sick over the weekend, offered to set up a payment plan for to help ease the financial burden. Not only did she do that, but she also gave me her personal cell phone number, so I could avoid the added expense of taking him to the emergency vet clinic if it were to happen again. I have never taken any of my animals to a clinic where people cared more about the animals that the staff of Orchard View does. This is why I ALWAYS recommend them to everyone I know.

I've also been struck by the lack of professionalism in my multiple visits for my animals. More importantly, after several visits and conversations with other customers, have decided to find other animal care options. I don't doubt the doctor's abilities; but have never once left the office confident that my questions regarding the need or cost of a procedure had been satisfied. The "bottom line" is delivered in increments within the same conversation and it truly feels like one is purchasing a used car.

I have no complaints with how my pets are treated and have no problem spending the funds to get them taken care of. However, customer service is below average and there is a definite "upsell" mindset about the place. My last experience was akin to purchasing a used car, whereas I received the bottom line in increments with no explanation as to why we are repeating recently performed procedures and tests. Waited more than a month (with calling them back) for a promised return call regarding a procedure my animal required before finally giving up and going elsewhere. If you're willing to give them a blank check and not ask questions, this place is for you.

Great for Pets and People.

I have been an employee here at Orchard View for over a year now and wanted to reply to a previous review posted. I agree that this is a wonderful place for animals, my dog loves to come to work with me for both boarding and exams. She loves both Dr. Lipscomb and Dr. Sapp and is very excited to see them. Dr. Lipscomb has been taking care of all my family pets since the practice opened and does a wonderful job caring for them as well as answering all my questions. This is a small family owned buisness, but in my exprience they care very deeply for all their employees. Yes, like any buisness, employees come and go, but there are several staff members who have been here for an extended period of time, like me. I know for me, Dr. Lipscomb, Brittni and staff have made me feel at home and I enjoy being part of the family here at OVVC.
