After driving to St. Pauls for my favorite meatball sub I find out Zachary's Pizza Restaurant picks and chooses what they want to serve and what they don't want to serve, not what they offer on their regular dinner Menu.
The waitress acknowledged that they had everything to make it but they just pick and choose what they want to make based on price.
After looking at reviews it appears they say items off the menu that aren't as pricey are not available that night when they think they will have a busy night. Pricier meals+Busy Night=More $$$.
We paid for our meal and I went to the front to continue waiting to speak to a manager or owner. (At this point I had waited 45 minutes)
Finally, someone came out to talk to me... it was a young guy who gets the dishes/does kitchen work and he said the owners don't waste their time with complaints and they don't have a manager. He preceded to tell me that they choose what they want to serve and don't want to serve as they please without notice. I asked if I could leave my number for them to call me when it was more convenient and he said "no, he won't call you. He doesn't care."
This place is a joke. Don't waste your time!
Wow. We will never be back again.

Overall

Terrible food and the worst customer service that I've ever experienced in my life, and it was from the owner. The customer is never right and doesn't come first at this establishment.

The rating is for the customer...

The rating is for the customer service and the fact that more than once I did not get what I ordered and paid for.....

When my daughter and I first found this restaurant, we thought "OH YEAH THIS IS IT" We were sick of fast food, of tired riding to Lumberton, Fayetteville or where the better choices of food are at. The first week we, were there 3 times, once taking a good friend with us.

Over the past 2 months we have spent a good bit there. When family was in from out of town we ordered and brought it home. Spent over a hundred in 2 days.

2 weeks ago I ordered a dinner and got it home and my spaghetti dinner had no spaghetti noodles...AT ALL. They said they would replace it next time I was there, they were closing.

Tonight I called and ordered my missing noodles, an order of meatballs and asked for mozzarella cheese to be added, and for extra garlic and butter on the bread. I get home and there was no cheese on ANYTHING! And once again no extra garlic butter on my bread. So I I called, and after being hung up on several times, I was told by the female that answered the phone she was the only one there even though they had closed less than 10 minutes earlier. She said call back tomorrow. Then the manager/owner calls me back to say he was not there 3 minutes ago when I called, and that I did not ask for the cheese because the person who took the order has never in the 3 years of working the mad a mistake of any kind and since it was her word against mine, he was not going to believe me....So are they saying I have met GOD? That he is working as a waitress at Zachary's in Saint Pauls NC. After all...who else have you met that has never made a mistake? Okay, I know better, I just am trying to show you what he was acting like, you know? But seriously, I will never go there again. They take a complaint as a reason to be rude to customers.He basically called me a liar and refused to hear that she made a mistake, I was clearly not appreciated as a customer, he did not care if I received the food I ordered, or the service I, as a customer deserve. Needless to say...We will not return to Zachary's again. I would rather drive 30 miles and get quality food, AND quality service and get what I am paying for.

I worked as a waitress, taxi driver (In Charlotte), and a cashier in a convenience store. I was never rude to a customer like that. For one thing I would not have kept a job for any time had I treated my customers like that. Customers expect to be treated with respect. And deserve it.

Bottom line, Food is good, but they do not listen to the customer, as long as they get your business and money they do not care if you get what you asked for and paid for. And the customer is never right. Bad customer service practices. And the way he spoke to me was not in good taste at all. He was really rude, to the point I finally hung up to stop his attitude with me.

I am not saying for you not to go there, it isn't my place to tell you that, I won't go back, but if you order out...check it before you leave and you might want to walk in to order not call in.

i have dined in and had take-out at Zacharys Pizza and Restaurant numerous times. they definitely have great food. you will definitely get full with any selection you choose. the only negative thing i could say is the length of time you have to wait sometimes is irritating. outside of that everything is great!
