Business Description Transcomp, Inc, DBA Evolve Systems, specializes in two business verticals: merchant processing and web development, which intersect in E-commerce websites. While we offer a wide range of options to build a web presence, including shopping carts and an event management interface, our specialty lies in our Content Management Systems ( CMS ). We build the framework for a powerful workhorse website, then give the client complete control over their graphic display and content with CMS. The need for a trained web programmer is eliminated, and non-technical personnel can update the site at any time in-house. We offer everything from build-it-yourself sites to custom solutions, along with a range of web hosting services and built-in search engine optimization. Adding strength and value to Evolve Systems' websites is our Merchant Processing Program with its lowest-available, custom-priced processing rates that keep profits where they belong ; in our clients' pockets. Value pricing, coupled with best-in-class customer service keeps customers in our pockets. Our aim is to help our clients create a positive experience for their customers by taking the guesswork out of check and credit card acceptance with our state-of-the-art cash management solutions. We started our business in 1993 as Transcomp, Inc, ( TRANSlating COMPuters ). Our tag line was, Helping Keep Users Friendly. Our focus was on selling computers and related technology to households and individual consumers. Additionally, we launched one of the first graphics-based Bulletin Board Systems ( BBS ) in the Twin Cities. In 2002, we focused our resources on the business marketplace when we saw that it was ready for an easy-to-use, self-directed system that would allow companies to manage their own Web sites. Based on our studies, the idea of commoditizing Web-based services was key to building a successful business. Our focus on self-managed websites and credit card merchant services gave us a diversified service that was, and is, needed by a very large percentage of small to medium-sized businesses. Additionally, we have formed strategic partnerships with selected graphic designers and marketing firms, allowing us to provide tailored, single-source services to customers in all industries while keeping our costs down. When we started Evolve Systems, our vision was of a company that was not just focused on the bottom line, but also on serving the community in a meaningful way. Our current tagline, Do business responsibly, reflects that mission. From day one, we have donated five percent of our corporate profits, via cash or in-kind services, to local charities. Additionally, we shut down the company once a quarter and perform random acts of kindness, donating our time to a local cause or charity. To date we have donated over 2700 hours to causes that make a difference.
