Battle Creek Middle School, located in St. Paul, Minn., provides advanced-placement courses and college preparatory education to students in grades seven and eight. It is a public school that enrolls more than 650 students. The school s curriculum includes English, math, foreign languages, science and social studies. Additionally, Battle Creek Middle School offers courses in music, visual arts, journalism, physical and health education, computer and industrial technology, and family and consumer science. The middle school also provides special education and offers the Advancement Via Individual Determination program that provides elective and college preparatory courses to its students and emphasizes on critical thinking, creative writing and communication skills. Battle Creek Middle School additionally organizes various extracurricular activities, such as dance, music, theater and digital photography. It also provides various sports activities, such as basketball, football, volleyball, wrestling and soccer.
