Mackinac Straits Hospital & Health Center is a nonprofit 75-bed long-term care facility. Located in St. Ignace, Mich., the center provides services, such as imaging, acute care, clinics and a family health center. It also offers renal dialysis, laboratory, oncology and nursing services. Its imaging services include scanning, ultrasound, mammography, bone densitometry and 24-hour X-ray department. Additionally, the center provides physical, occupational and speech therapies. It also operates a swing bed program and hospice and respite program for outpatients. Mackinac Straits Hospital & Health Center employs more than 200 people and is a part of the Upper Peninsula Health Care Network, a corporation of health care organizations.
