Maid for A Day

I purchased a Groupon on (I think) May 28th for Maid for a Day. The first time they were scheduled to come (last Mon.) I called when they were 40 minutes late. Half an hour later the owner called back and said the girls had been in a small accident and couldn't come. Could they come on Friday? I said sure, that works out well for me. I was having my house cleaned for a big party on Saturday anyway. Then they were supposed to be at my house at 1 on Friday for the reschedule but never showed. I called & left a message at 2:30 asking for a call back about whether they were coming or not and have still not recieved a call back.



In all honesty, I feel like I gave them more than enough chances to do the job I (tried) to hire them to do and they can't even call to let me know they won't be here? Twice I rearranged my schedule and busted my tail getting the house completely picked up so that they could focus on deep cleaning, and I was stood up twice. It sounds like when they do show up they do a bad job anyway, so I'm emailing Groupon for a refund. Shame on you, Maid For A Day! What bad business practices. If you got in over your head by selling too many Groupons, I would much rather get a phone call saying as much and asking if we can schedule farther out so that you can give my house the time and attention that I paid for. Such a shame!

Let me start by saying...i normally do not feel so strong about writing bad reviews until now....maid for a day was an absolute joke and a real rip off...i have to say, being a business owner myself this has to be the poorest service that i've ever seen!!

I had purchased their special on groupon approx 1 month prior to scheduling. I had timed it out to be scheduled just at this specific time. I was also scheduled @ 1:30 on Thurs. 6/23 I had made arrangements to meet them their and i get a call about 12:45 from wendy the owener saying they were there waiting to get in and asked if I wanted to reschedule unitl friday since I wasn't there..i did not...for i had every thing planned at that time including having the dog gone for the aftermoon...

VERY Disappointed and my son would have done better job...kitchen floor was sticky counters were half wiped, dusting is half done, ceramic and hardwood floors still have dirt on them and they were not sparkling as the claims were made, bathroom tubs were not touched, my half bath was never even cleaned, vacuuming was half done, base boards were not touched, mirrors were not touched and you can still see dust or half dusted on everything, everything from nick nacks to tables and even chairs were left in odd looked left in disarray...this is not acceptalbe. paying half price on this deal should not have resulted in half cleaning. I planned this to have a clean home during this time and after just having it done yesterday, it looks like my house needs cleaned today...I have called the owner waiting on a return call but seeing that i'm not alone in this disatisfaction makes is sound like this is very bad business and the owener should be very ashamed to leave such a mess behind and I feel we all need a refund!
