Mart Produce Corporation was established in 1980 by a group of local farms. Mart Produce is owned by two farm families who supply about 30 percent of the potatoes run through the plant. The balance is bought on the open market after extensive sampling to assure the best quality available for its customers. The company uses Hager sizing equipment, which allows it to package any size of potatoes required by its customers. Mart Produce also uses Volmpack baggers to assure accuracy in its weights as well as careful handling of the potatoes. Mart Produce has three large potato cellars on site for storage so that potatoes are always available no matter what the weather. The humidity and temperature in these buildings are controlled by computer. Mart Produce Corporation operates at least 11 months per year so as to provide a regular supply of potatoes for our customers. The company is located in Rupert, Idaho.
