Very shady company. Gave me the price that it would be over the phone and the repairman quoted the same price when he arrived. Then repair man brought the wrong part. He then told me it would be more because now he had to go get the right part and that that added more labor to my bill. Told him that was not my fault. They knew the A/C unit before you came because Big Tex was the one who put the unit in and we told them over the phone what unit it was. He also tried to add a $75.00 service fee. Our quoted price had already included a service fee. Very dishonest.

In the AC industry, it is hard to find reputable companies, Big Tex AC Austin is one I can recommend highly.



Big Tex installed the AC system in our Crystal Falls/Cap Rock home 2 yrs ago. All of a sudden the unit wasn't cooling. Having some knowledge about AC I thought it might not have enough refrigerant being I routinely change the filters. I called them on Monday morning and they came out Tuesday morning.



Their service technician Randy, a Navy veteran, checked the system and found Icing buildup and after further investigation, discovered a pin-hole leak in the line next to the outside unit. He repaired the weld, re-charged the system and verified everything was working properly. The result is that my unit is fixed and the Company charges were very fair. What more can I say. . . that's all anyone can ask for.
