In the year 1822 the first of Ashley's family to arrive in the New World... well, arrived. This makes Ashley a 6th generation Irish-American. For nearly two centuries the principles of hard work, self-reliance, personal responsibility and humility have been handed down. Cooking and baking, not so much. Growing up, cookies were always made by following the directions on the package. The only holiday meal tradition was Christmas morning pigs-in-a-blanket. Sad, but true. From where Ashley ever got the notion that she should pursue a career in food no one knows. What we do know, and we are sure you will agree, is that the result is nothing short of miraculous. Ashley received her Culinary Arts Degree from Keiser College. She has taken advanced PME Sugarcraft courses at the International Sugar Art Collection taught by world renown Nicholas Lodge. Having perfected her craft working for both boutique and chain bakeries, Ashley is now the proud proprietor of Ashley's Bake Shop. If you are asking yourself why you should visit the bakery and try some of her wonderful creations keep in mind that the principles handed down to Ashley means she makes everything from scratch with love and care; and that being the first in her family to stake her claim as a baker – she will not settle for being less than the best.
