Overall
frequent visitor

I've seen Dr.Gingras many times over the years for 1 knee surgury. before that he recomended conservative options 'PT,cortisone injections Bracing right after the injury .a few years after that I saw him my for Shoulder[rotator cuff tear] after we tiied pt ultrasound cortisone etc. we then did surgery followed by PT to stregthen the joint. Elbow woes followed [tendonitis/epicondilitis]ulner nerve damage here again we tried conservative treatments first, eventually I did need to have surgery because the pain was 24/7 numbness/tingling made it torture to use my arm .Surgery helped decrease symptoms over 70%.over the years he has treated me with respect. He has always included me in the dicision making process/explaining different treatment options.I highly recommend this Dr.Gingras.

Overall
Aviod this practice like the plauge!

Dr. Posnick rushes his patients out the door, avoids definitive time tables for healing, and lacks any empathy for his patients. I saw Dr. Posnick for a wrist fracture and a possible recasting and decided my cast was fine and to come back in three weeks. When I got home I wondered why my cast was so easily slid up and down my wrist when it was “fine” according to the doctor. I looked online and consulted with the doctors PA and was told that it was definitely loose and needed to be re-casted ASAP. The second major problem I had with Dr. Posnick was that he did not diagnose me with Achilles tendonitis, I essentially told him it was and he agreed. He proceeded to rush me out the door after showing me basic stretches and told me to decrease my activity. I had to stop him from leaving to ask how long it would take to heal, what exactly does decreased activity mean for me, and could it lead to a rupture of the Achilles tendon. He answered my question with a vague statement of: “if you normally run ten miles, you may have to cut it down to one.” Thanks doctor, I don’t run ten miles and walking up the stairs causes me significant pain which he replied: “You’re too young to have these kinds of problems; I should be the one complaining of this ha-ha”. He then printed out a sheet of basic information about Achilles tendonitis from a website which I had already viewed… and told me to come back if there were any problems. This may not seem like a big deal but the man truly is incompetent when serving his patients. If you need to see an orthopedic in the Geneseo, NY area, avoid this one at all costs (he also has an office located in Rochester, NY which I have never visited but he works at as well).
