Child Development Center is a part of Action for a Better Community, also known as ABC, which is a nonprofit, community services agency. Action for a Better Community offers a variety of services that support self-sufficiency among low-income families of Monroe County in New York. It administers various community, employment and economic development programs. The agency maintains the Action Front Center, which provides education, counseling, case management, advocacy, prison outreach and HIV testing services for youths. Action for a Better Community also conducts an energy conservation program that includes insulation, weather stripping, emergency assistance, and furnace repair and replacement services. Additionally, it offers various educational and training programs for children. Action for a Better Community maintains a location in Rochester, N.Y.
