General Info: Since 1966, Spencerport Volunteer Ambulance Service Inc. has been a volunteer organization located at Spencerport, N.Y. It has in operation two ambulances and one flycar. The flycar is a first response vehicle used as a command post at incidents with multiple patients. The ambulances have three permanent mount oxygen ports, several compartments with outside and inside accessibility, and a 1500-watt power inverter that provides alternating current while moving. The organization's base has a rest room for members and employees, a fully equipped kitchen, dispatch office, first aid room, training/meeting room, decontamination room and a command training room. Spencerport Volunteer Ambulance Service Inc. distributes medical loan equipment on behalf of the Spencerport Lions Club.
