Pappy's Pet Lodge

Our dog Jagger is a handful! Very active! Pappy's in Roanoke was the perfect place for him while we were on vacation. Lot's of room to play, friendly staff, and great amenities. You will always be Jagger's home away from home!

It was a great experience for my dog "Midnight" who has stayed in a lot of pet sitters all over the US, since my husband and I used to be Truck Drivers. We finally found a place that he really liked, he played everyday with other dogs and was not depressed like he usually is. Place is big and Clean, Nice employees. Highly recommend it!!!!

We were recently preparing to headed out on vacation and needed a place for our rambunctious 4 month old puppy to stay. We dropped by Pappy's to check it out and tour the facility. They were very patient in answering all my questions and letting us know how they would take care of our puppy while we were gone. We made a reservation and dropped our puppy off two days later. While we were gone we received a picture of our pup and her new friend via text and that made my day! The evening we picked her up, they loved on her and told us what a sweet puppy she was. She even got a "report card" telling us how she did during the week. We had a GREAT experience with Pappy's and will be going back again.

Every year my husband and I go to the Good Guys Car Show at the Texas Motor Speedway. We love it, but this year we didn't think we could make it because we have a new puppy, Sydney - a 7 month old Australian Shepherd. The idea of dropping her off at some strange place, watched by strangers, totally wigged me out. So, I got on line and did my homework, read the reviews and reluctantly reserved a spot for her at Pappy's Pet Lodge in Roanoke. I am so grateful I did. First of all, they obviously had dealt with over protective moms before because they clearly understood my fears and didn't make me feel like an idiot for being such a pansy about the whole thing. Seriously, this ordeal felt just like when I dropped my daughter off at Kindergarten the first day. And just like my daughter, Sydney was so relieved and happy to see me when I picked her up that afternoon, and just like my daughter, Sydney was so exhausted that she fell fast asleep within minutes of getting in the car. When we got home I thoroughly checked her over to make sure there were no signs of abuse. All was well, of course. OK, now you are getting the picture, right? Anyway, I was still nervous the next day, until we reached the place. Sydney couldn't wait to get out of the car, literally pulling the leash, jumping in excitement, trying to break down the glass door to get inside. Do you know how I spell relief? P A P P Y S.



I can't say enough wonderful things about the folks who work there. They are "DOG PEOPLE". They get it. I am so grateful to each and every one of them who took care of my baby. I wouldn't hesitate to take her again. In fact, I'm sorry they are so far away from where we live because I would honestly consider taking her there on a regular basis just for the fun of socialization with new people and other friendly puppies.

We went on a week long trip and don't usually board our dog. He was a little timid at first but warmed up nicely to the staff. The staff were very friendly and excited to care for our pet. They even sent us a picture via text on our vacation and my boys loved knowing their dog was being cared for and having fun!! Thanks so much Pappy's Pet Lodge.
