I too must disagree with the bad review. Dr. Carter has taken excellent care of all three of my animals. When I call, they try to give me a home remedy that may help before I come in and pay for service, I appreciate this. I have a German Shepherd/ Ridgeback mix who is a rescue. She is incredibly afraid of most things and Dr. Carter and her staff are so patient, kind, compassionate, and so good with my pup. I would not take my animals anywhere else.

I have been a client of Dr. Carter-Smith for years. I followed her from Angleton to Freeport and them to her very clean, fully equipped and also a excellent staff in Richwood. I know there isn't another vet that can come close to the love, dedication and quality of care that she and her wonderful staff provide. I would recommend her to everyone! I also disagree with the bad review that was posted. After many years of going to her I never left feeling like they didn't give me the best of care. I used Dr Carter-Smith a couple of years ago with a lab mix that had been pulled from a county animal shelter. This dog had many issues but the main one was the mange and an infection. Dr Carter was so touched by this dog she had tears in her eyes and could not believe how sick he was. This was right before Hurricane Ike hit and she gave him meds and treatments for the mange and then had the staff call and check on him. Dr Carter cried over the state of this dog and gave me a discount because he had been pulled from a kill shelter so I would take any of my animals to her, from cats to dogs to horses. I have just made an appointment with her to see my new puppy who was thrown out on the side of the road, and she has seen my dogs for a couple of years.
