Dr. Tardio saved my life. I have never submitted a review for anything, but for this I was compelled to do so. First off, let me explain my back story briefly. I am a 26 year old physically fit and active male. I love working out, outdoor activities, and trying to keep my body in shape. Two years ago I was in a major accident that left me with six slipped discs (two herniated and two bulging discs in my cervical spine; 1 herniated and 1 bulging disc in my lower spine). This is an uncommon injury for someone my age and just like that all my favorite hobbies fell by the wayside. In my journey to recovery I went seeking out the help of two separate chiropractors and a pain management doctor. I have had multiple procedures done on my spine including several cortisone injections, facet joint injections, and radio frequency ablation. None of it worked. To my shock I was advised that I was going to have to undergo invasive surgery in order to relieve my pain…and let me tell you the pain (which was throughout my entire neck/back and down my legs) was unbearable at times. I had just started a new job and moved to a new town and could not be incapacitated for months on end while healing from surgery. Panicked and desperate I began to heavily research other options and newer treatment techniques that could keep me from going under the knife. I was referenced to Dr. Kris Tardio at Velocity Sports Chiropractic in Red Bank and his team of physical therapists. I was skeptical about going to another chiropractor at first after previous failed attempts, but all my doubts were erased after my first visit to the office. Dr. Tardio and his team are very professional, extremely knowledgeable, and tremendously friendly. He utilizes a number of various treatment techniques and comes up with a thorough plan to help you recover from any injury. The office is more than accommodating with appointment times and the staff there are some of the most approachable and pleasant people I have ever met. After just one month I was back in the gym and doing everything that I love. Now with continued maintenance treatment I am stronger and more fit than ever. Most importantly I no longer need surgery thanks to Dr. Tardio. So, in a manner of speaking, he did save my life. I highly recommend Velocity Chiropractic to anyone who has been injured or cares about their general well-being and would give him a higher rating if that were possible.
